GRAND RAPIDS – Federal authorities say a fugitive recently featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted was taken into custody on Tuesday in Grand Rapids thanks in part to a viewer tip.
Johnny Trotter, 41, was arrested without incident by officers with the U.S. Marshals Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force following a traffic stop.
Trotter had avoided authorities since May. His online record with the Michigan Department of Corrections details prior convictions including larceny in a building, prison escape, armed robbery, weapons violations and malicious destruction of fire or police property.
