GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Approximately 7,771 Consumers Energy customers were without power in Grand Rapids Monday, according to the company's website.
The outages covered a large area of the city from just north of I-196 near Trowbridge Street almost all the way to 28th Street.
Consumers Energy told us that "an animal breached a substation."
Officially said power was restored around 6:10 p.m. on Monday.
