Ottawa County, Mich. – A 17-year-old is recovering following a rollover vehicle crash occurring early Sunday morning.
The teen, Stephanie Orlikowski of Grand Rapids, was riding as a passenger in a Mercury Mountaineer when the vehicle left the roadway on Lake Michigan drive.
The name of the driver of the truck is being withheld due to possible charges.
Police are unsure of the cause of the accident, but say it could be due to a “mechanical failure” in the vehicle.
Both the driver and the passenger were wearing their seatbelts.
Orlikowski was taken to a local hospital with a laceration to her leg, but is in good condition.
