16 handguns stolen from Coopersville gun shop

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. — More than a dozen handguns are missing after a break-in early Saturday morning at the Palladium Gun Shop at 158 Eastmanville Street, according to police.

The Ottawa County Sheriffs Department received a call after 1 a.m. July 18 about a breaking and entering in progress at the gun shop. Police discovered a broken window on the south side of the store.

No one was inside the shop when authorities arrived. A police K-9 unit tracked a scent north of the shop but lost its track after a few blocks.

Sixteen handguns were reported missing.
