Battle Creek Police investigate attempted abduction of 11-year-old boy

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police are investigating an attempted abduction that happened Tuesday in the area of East Avenue and Radley Street.

According to a release, an 11-year-old boy told police that a man in a van approached him, offered him a candy bar and then grabbed him when he refused it.   The boy said he kicked the man and ran home.

The suspect is described by police as a white male with a Mohawk and tattoos on his forehead and both of his cheeks.   He also has a tattoo of a red skull with a sword and flames on his left forearm, according to a release.

Police said the suspect’s vehicle is a full-size white van with skateboard stickers on the front.
