Memorial fund set up to honor Omarion Humphrey

Posted

DAVISON, Mich. — A 9-year-old boy with a severe case of autism was found dead last week after being reported missing earlier this month. Now a fund has been set up to raise money for a memorial fund to pay tribute to Omarion Humphrey at the Lake Callis Recreation Complex.

Officials said Humphrey was celebrating the 4th of July holiday with his foster family when he went missing. His disappearance triggered a statewide search for the boy before his body was found in a lake on July 10.

Authorities continue to investigate his death, but they don’t believe foul play was involved.

Any money left over from the memorial fund will go towards the Autism Safety Coalition.
