GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Current Grand Rapids School Board member David LaGrand says he’ll run for state representative after Rep. Brandon Dillon announced his resignation.
Dillon announced he will resign as of August 3. He is resigning because he was elected this past weekend to be the new Chairperson of the Michigan Democratic Party.
LaGrand was a city commissioner in Grand Rapids from 2008-2010, has been an Assistant Kent County Prosecutor and has co-founded a handful of small businesses in Grand Rapids.
