HOLLAND, Mich. – Holland Police are looking for suspects in a hit and run crash that left a man seriously injured.
The incident happened at about 5:15am Thursday on 48th Street north of Regent Blvd. A 46-year-old Holland man was walking south on 48th Street on his way to work with a co-worker when he was hit. The co-worker called 911 and described the vehicle as a smaller red car that already had damage to the front passenger side.
At about 6:10am, the Holland Fire Department was called to the 200 block of Norcrest Place on a fully-involved vehicle fire. Witnesses told police they saw three people running from the car before the fire started. Police say that based on early looks, the fire and the hit-and-run are related.
The victim in the hit-and-run sustained a serious leg injury as well as other internal injuries and was transported to Holland Community Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
