WEST MICHIGAN –– Independence Day is one of the most weather dependent national holidays that we have.  Naturally, if you have outdoor activities planned, you want the weather to be comfortable and rain free.  But with the 4th of July, there are several factors that come into play.  Fireworks displays, both personal and professional, cannot take place safely with high winds and low humidity.  Fortunately for us, Mother Nature seems like it will cooperate for the entirety of the holiday weekend.

High pressure will build back into our region over the next several days, and that will allow calm conditions and clear skies.  Fire dangers are relatively low as well, due to the amount of rain we have received over the last few weeks.

4th of July

This 4th of July forecast seems to meet or exceed ALL of those expectations for a “perfect” holiday forecast.  Clear conditions, light winds, and mild humidity looks to be in store for the entire day Saturday.  The only thing you have to worry about for the weekend?  Staying safe and enjoying the weekend with family and friends!
