Posted

Grand Rapids Police are investigating what they’re calling an unarmed robbery this morning in the parking lot  of a local bank.

It happened around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the  Fifth Third bank branch at 700 Bridge Street NW.

Police say a man reached his arm into the front seat of a bank customer, stole some cash, and then took off running.

GRPD is working with businesses in the area to see if they can get surveillance video that might help them identify and find the suspect.

Police had cleared the scene by about noon.
