WEST MICHIGAN – Authorities with the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force have announced the arrests of 3 fugitives featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted.
48-year-old Rodney Brabon, who had been wanted for violating his parole since late January, was taken into custody on Thursday in Vancouver, Washington.
Investigators with the U.S. Marshals Western Michigan Fugitive Task Force say they received a viewer tip Brabon was living in Washington and used the information to coordinate a response and pinpoint his location with U.S. Marshals in that region.
Authorities believe Brabon may have been living in western Washington for the last six months or so. He was arrested without incident and lodged at the Lewis County Jail. Authorities in Lewis County are exploring state charges for Brabon for not registering as a sex offender.
34-year-old Eddie Jay Nikkel was arrested in Florida on June 5th by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. Details of his arrest weren’t immediately disclosed. Nikkel is currently awaiting extradition to Michigan to face charges for absconding parole.
Nikkel had been on the run since November 2014. His criminal record includes past convictions for criminal sexual conduct, check fraud and auto theft.
Shawn Wright, 24, was arrested on June 10th by the Miami Dade Sheriff’s Office and is awaiting extradition to Michigan to face charges for absconding parole.
Wright, who’s from the Grand Rapids area, had been on the run since July 2014 after serving time for home invasion.
