CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman is recovering after a turkey flew into the windshield of her SUV Tuesday evening sending shards of glass into her eye, according to Michigan State Police.
A 64-year-old woman was driving east on I-96 just west of the M-6 interchange around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the turkey was likely flying across the highway before it smashed into the windshield of the woman’s Jeep Liberty. Pieces of the cracked windshield flew into her eyes.
The woman was taken the hospital where she was treated and has since been released.
