West Michigan – A slow moving system will track into the Great Lakes the next few days with scattered showers and thunderstorms. At this point the risk of severe weather looks fairly low.
A warm front will lift into the Ohio Valley late on Wednesday and isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. Surface winds should be light so the best chance of thunderstorms will be in the afternoon as the lake breeze develops.
Severe weather chances increase a bit on Thursday as a weak storm system moves into the northern part of the state. The low will drag a cold front over the lower peninsula with a chance of strong to severe thunderstorms. The best chances will be east and southeast of Grand Rapids.
