MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- The 26-year-old man wanted in connection with a Grand Rapids shooting was arrested Monday in Muskegon Heights, according to a release from U.S. Marshals.

Ryan Lorenz is being charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder in connection with the May 26 shooting at 51 Banner St. SW.

Lorenz was arrested Monday afternoon in the 3300 block of Hoyt Street, Marshals said in a release.

A 20-year-old man was shot on the front porch of the Grand Rapids home and may face long-term paralysis because of a spinal injury, investigators said.

U.S. Marshals are searching for a second man who they believe was with Lorenz at the time of the shooting.   He is described in a release as a black male in his mid-20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall between 130 and 140 lbs.

Anyone with information on this man's whereabouts is asked to call Grand Rapids Police Department at 616-456-3403 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
