OAK PARK, Illinois – The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force has announced the arrested of a fugitive featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted.
R. Scott Tollas, 49, was taken into custody on Tuesday in Oak Park, Illinois following a phoned in tip from a viewer.
Federal authorities say the Oak Park Police Department acted on the tip and was able to take Tollas into custody.
He’s being processed this afternoon at the Oak Park City Jail and will later be transferred to the Cook County Jail where he’ll await extradition to Michigan to face charges.
Tollas had been wanted since April for violating his parole. He was also wanted on an aggravated assault charge involving an officer with the Gun Lake Tribal Police in Allegan County.
His online record with the Michigan Department of Corrections shows past convictions for home invasion, check fraud and identity theft.
