KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — An early Sunday morning crash sent one person to the hospital in Kalamazoo.
The driver appears to have lost control of a Buick while heading southbound on Westnedge Avenue and crashed into a tree, officers say.
Westnedge Avenue was closed between North Avenue and Willard Street early Sunday morning. The road has since been re-opened.
According to neighbors closeby, a car matching the description of the crashed vehicle was speeding around the neighborhood before the collision. They also said that they heard a loud bang around 4:30 AM.
Kalamazoo Dept. of Public Safety say that they are investigating the incident as a one-vehicle crash,
The condition of the driver is not known at this time.
