ALLENDALE, Mich. — A 14-year-old boy suffered injuries Saturday after a go-cart he was driving flipped over and exploded.

Police tell Fox 17 the boy was driving his go-cart in the parking lot of Allendale High School in the 10000 block of 68th Avenue around 12:00 p.m. Saturday when he took a turn too hard and rolled it.

The impact caused the go-cart to actually explode, burning the boy on his arms and legs.  Police say he is expected to survive.
