WEST MICHIGAN — The search for a missing Battle Creek teenager is over.
Grand Rapids Police found and recovered 15-year-old Jordan English on the 1600 block of Goodwin Ave. SE Friday night. When they arrived, they found her trying to runaway out of the back door of the home.
They say they found her thanks to a tip from the Silent Observer.
English ran away from her mother’s home in Fort Wayne, Ind. while visiting in May.
Police recently arrested a man in Grand Rapids who they believe has been with English.
Allegan County Undersheriff Frank Baker said in a release that the department believes she may have been the victim of a crime while with that man. However, he was arrested on unrelated charges. His identity has not been released.
Police say arrangements are being made to return the teen back to Allegan County.
Grand Rapids Detectives say they are investigating whether or not to press charges against the adult of the home where English was staying.
