SANILAC COUNTY, Mich. – The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is telling residents to be alert after a full-sized horse was killed by an unknown large animal.
The attack happened in the area of Burns Line Road and Black River Road which is near Croswell, Michigan. Sanilac County is in the thumb region of Michigan, north of Port Huron.
According to replies on the department’s Facebook page, the horse, named Bo, was bitten in the leg and bled to death.
The animal has not yet been identified and the DNR is looking into the incident.
