GRAND RAPIDS, Mich --
Much the way this series seems to be playing out, Friday nights game four of the AHL's Western Conference finals went the distance with the Grand Rapids Griffins beating the Utica Comets 3-2 in over-time with Andreas Athanasiou scoring the game winning goal 5:05 into O-T.
The Comets held a 2-1 lead late in the third before Anthony Mantha scored to tie the game and send it into over-time.
The win, in front of 8,967 at Van Andel Arena, evened the Calder Cup series at two games apiece. The two teams meet again at 5 p.m. Sunday at Van Andel Arena.
