TRENTON, Mich. – A Trenton High School student is dead after a shooting with police Thursday.
According to WJBK – FOX 2 Detroit, Kyle Baker, 18, allegedly charged at police with a lawn mower blade. One officer was treated with a severe cut to his hand.
A neighbor told FOX 2 that Baker had been sent home from school earlier in the day for causing a disturbance.
The incident happened late Thursday afternoon in the 2800 block of Longmeadow Drive, which is near the intersection of West and Allen roads. It is unclear why police were at the home in the first place.
