GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Gaines Township man is charged with stalking and abusing an 86-year-old woman at the Kent County assisted living facility where he worked.
Tyler Malone, 21, was charged Friday with second-degree vulnerable adult abuse and stalking after officials say he threw shoes and water at the woman and repeatedly called her phone.
The alleged incidents happened at the Life House Crystal Springs Assisted Living center, 1175 68th St. SE in Gaines Township.
Malone worked at the facility from March to August 2014, according to a release. After being fired from Life House, he was hired at American House Senior Living Communities, 5980 Eastern Ave. SE in Kentwood.
Malone is currently being held on a $25,000 bond. He faces up to five years behind bars if convicted.
