HUDSONVILLE, Mich. — Online arrest records have identified the suspect driver involved in a deadly highway crash near Hudsonville on Saturday.

Online arrest and jail records identify the suspect as 46-year-old Richard Lee Rish.

He’s currently being held in the Ottawa County jail pending arraignment.

The crash happened around 2:00 p.m. Saturday on I-196 in the east bound lanes near 32nd Avenue.

Investigators said Bernard and Debra Langmyer of Lenawee County were on the side of the road waiting on assistance to fix a flat tire when the vehicle they were in was hit.

Bernard was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third vehicle was involved in the crash.  A 2009 Buick traveling east on I-196 hit Rish’s vehicle.  The occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman from Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, suffered minor injuries.  They were both transported to an area hospital.
