CALHOUN COUNTY – Authorities in Calhoun County say there have been multiple fatalities following a head-on crash along I-94.
All eastbound and westbound lanes at mile marker 121 near Albion are back open to traffic as of 11:45 p.m.
Authorities in Calhoun County told FOX 17 three people were killed in the two vehicle crash, four others were injured.
According to police, a 16-year-old male was behind the wheel of a vehicle that crossed the median and went into oncoming traffic, causing a head-on collision.
We’re told a 16-year-old male passenger was among those killed, as was a 74-year-old woman from Jackson and a 77-year-old woman from Ohio.
Those injured included a 16-year-old male, two 15-year-old girls from Albion, and a 57-year-old man from Jackson.
It’s not clear what caused the teen driver to cross the median into oncoming traffic.
