Recalled: Nest booster seats and Viking gas stoves & ranges

BETHESDA, Md. — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced some new recalls this week that may impact your kitchen and the little ones at the dining room table.

Below is the information on these recent recalls.

Recalled Nest booster seat

Nest Booster Seat — The stitching on the restraint straps can loosen which allows the straps to separate from the seat, posing a fall hazard.  About 25,000 units are impacted here in the U.S.  The manufacturer has received five reports of incidents, but no injuries.  Free repair kits are available upon request.  Click here for more information on this particular recall.

Recalled Viking gas range

Viking gas ranges — The ranges’ ovens can turn on by themselves, posing a burn hazard to consumers.  About 52,000 units are impacted in the U.S.  Viking Range has received 75 reports of gas ranges turning on by themselves, including three reports of burns and four reports of property damage claims, with one claim resulting in a payment of $850.  Free in-home inspections and repairs are available upon request.  See below for exact model/serial numbers, and click here for more information on this particular recall.
