ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 91-year-old woman has died after being involved ina head-on crash last week in Ada township.
Frances Baird died in the hospital this week, according to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department. She was a passenger in a vehicle that was struck at about 4:45 p.m. May 11 on Knapp Street just west of Egypt Valley Avenue.
Her husband, 93-year-old Rex Baird, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, 18-year-old Connor Dipzinski, suffered minor injuries.
Officials said Dipzinski lost control of his pick-up truck on wet roads and crossed the center line, striking the Bairds’ vehicle head on.
