Sterling Heights officer charged with drunk driving

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. — An Sterling Heights police officer has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol content over three times the legal limit.

According to a release, 39-year-old Jamie Dubay had a BAC of .27 when he crashed his pick-up truck April 22  in the area of Clinton River Road and Tonabee Drive.   He was off duty at the time.

Sterling Heights Police turned over the investigation to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Department, and Dubay is now being charged with drunk driving.

He was hospitalized after the single-vehicle crash and no other injuries were reported.
