WALKER – Investigators say they’ve been able to identify a woman who was found dead near I-96 over the weekend, but are waiting to release the woman’s identity until next of kin are notified.
The 39-year-old Caucasian woman from the Grand Rapids area was found just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday in a wooded area not far from the eastbound lanes of I-96 near Hillside Drive northwest.
At last check, police are still awaiting autopsy results to help determine a cause of death.
