GRAND HAVEN, Mich. -- The sky was filled with colorful kites at the 27th annual Great Lakes Kite Festival in Grand Haven Sunday. The festival kicked off on Friday and continued throughout the weekend.
Many different events were featured including various performances, an inflatable obstacle course, and the world’s largest outdoor kite sale. Organizers of the event say some of the kites are as big as school buses.
We spoke with spectators and performers who say this event is a tradition in the Grand Haven community, bringing in people from all over the country.
