Pilot in critical condition after plane crashes in Muskegon Co.

MOORLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A small plane crashed Friday near Ravenna, injuring the 68-year-old Marne man piloting it.

According to the Michigan State Police, the man’s Benson Gyro-Coptor was flying low when he struck power lines and crashed.  The crash happened in the area of Sherman and Wunsch Roads at about 12:25 p.m.

The pilot was critically injured, according to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department.  No other injuries were reported.

According to the sheriff’s department, the pilot is in critical condition.  No other injuries have been reported at this time.
