COLOMA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Monty Ray Menefee was arrested Tuesday morning in Ohio, according to a release from Coloma Township Police.
Menefee, 47, is the sole suspect in the stabbing death of his 79-year-old mother. She was found dead April 24 in the 500 block of Washington Street in Coloma.
On Sunday, police found Menefee’s vehicle in the area of 111th Avenue and 62nd Street in Casco Township in Allegan County.
According to a release, Ohio State Highway Patrol officials arrested Menefee after finding a stolen vehicle he was driving. No other details about his arrest are available at this time.
