NORTON SHORES – Investigators with the Norton Shores Police Department are asking homeowners to be on the lookout for suspicious activity following a pair of home invasions on Friday.
Police say a home in the 100 block of Farr Road and 6200 block of Martin were broken into between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Items taken from the home include money, jewelry and a camera. Police say the suspects made entry through a rear door of both homes and broke locks to get inside.
Neither owner was home when the invasions occurred. Police warn daytime home invasion suspects will often first knock on the door to see if anyone is home, and if someone comes to the door they will often make up a story on why they are there or ask to use the telephone.
Anyone that sees suspicious subjects or vehicles in these areas, or has information pertaining to the home invasions on Friday, is being asked to contact the Norton Shores Police Department at 231-733-2691 or Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME.
