Arrest made in Muskegon Heights shooting death

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. — An arrest has been made in a shooting death early Friday morning.

On Friday night, Muskegon County chief assistant prosecutor Tim Maat told FOX 17 NEWS that “police have arrested the killer in last night’s murder.”

“Our office will be filing charges on Saturday,” he added.

No further details about the suspect arrested were available.

Elishua Pinegar, 21,was shot at roughly 12:20 a.m. Friday in the area of Columbia and Park streets.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

“We commend the excellent work of the Muskegon Heights Police Department and the Violent Crimes Task Force that was assembled shortly after the incident,” Maat told FOX 17 NEWS.
