WMU student robbed at gunpoint in dorm room; Suspects sought

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Public safety officials at Western Michigan University’s Kalamazoo campus are looking for the suspects who robbed a student at gunpoint in their dorm room Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 3 p.m. in a room on the fourth floor of Smith-Burnham Hall, according to a release from the university.   The release does not mention any injuries that occurred during the robbery.

The suspects are described as two black men who are around 19 or 20 years old.  One of the suspects was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and carried a black backpack.  The other suspect was also wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans, but had on a mask.   He had short, dark hair, according to a release.

No other description of the suspects was provided.
