GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A West Michigan coach who worked with several area teams and clubs is being accused of sexually assaulting one of his students.

The Kent County Prosecutor’s Office tells FOX 17 that Don Glass, 34, is facing three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of child sexually abusive material and one count of accosting a minor for immoral purposes.

Glass was the head coach for the Grand Rapids Diving Club. He also served as coach for the Forest Hills Dive Team and the East Grand Rapids swim team.  Forest Hills and the Grand Rapids Diving Club confirmed to FOX 17 that the alleged victim in is not one of their students.

Forest Hills also said Glass is a seasonal employee who was contracted out by Professional Education Service Group. The district said he coached the dive team in the fall of 2014.

The superintendent of East Grand Rapids schools did not want to comment on the matter, but did say the school is working with public safety.

On Wednesday, FOX 17’s Jessica McMaster confronted Glass at his home. He answered the door and said, “no comment,” before closing it.

According to a spokesperson with the Grand Rapids Dive Club, Glass is no longer there due to the situation. He also said that he has changed the name of the club and notified parents.

Officials said parents at both schools have been notified of the situation.  FOX 17 is working to gather more information on this developing story.
