Roughly 7,500 without power statewide after April 9 storms

HESPERIA, Mich. — Approximately 575 Consumers Energy customers are without power in the Hesperia area after bouts of severe weather Thursday evening.

The outages occurred at about 5:25 a.m. Friday and power is expected to be restored by 2 p.m.

According to Consumers Energy, about 7,500 people were without power statewide, and Isabella County had the highest number of outages at 1,845.

  • Newaygo County – 509
  • Kent County – 391
