COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. — Opening Day at Fifth Third Ballpark has been washed out — for a day, at least.
The West Michigan Whitecaps have postponed the 2015 season opener — scheduled for Thursday at 6:35 p.m. — due to rain in the area this afternoon. The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m.
The Whitecaps will now celebrate Opening Day on Friday at 6:35 p.m.
Fans who have purchased tickets for tonight’s game can exchange them for any other regular season game, subject to availability.
