West Michigan – A cold front pushing into the state on Thursday will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area. We may see some gusty winds and small hail but the threat of severe weather should stay south of Michigan.
The first area of showers and thunderstorms will arrive in West Michigan between 7 and 9 AM. The thunderstorms should be weakening as they move to the northeast.
As the cold front slides into West Michigan during the afternoon, more thunderstorms will develop with the best chance of stronger storms along and south of I-94. All the precipitation should end by early evening.
Since the front will be moving through West Michigan rather quickly, rainfall amounts should not be excessive. Most areas will see between .25″ and .50″.
