GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Wait, that’s not a parking ticket!
The Grand Rapids Griffins decided to pull an April Fools’ Day Prank by placing slips that appear to parking violations on vehicles but are actually tickets to Wednesday’s game at Van Andel.
According to a team spokesperson, 10 tickets were placed on vehicles in downtown Grand Rapids Wednesday morning. Each fake parking ticket was good for two real game tickets.
In order to receive the free ticket, fans must tweet the Griffins a photo of their ‘parking ticket’ or post a picture of it on the hockey team’s Facebook page, according to a tweet from the Griffins.
