NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Police have identified a woman who died in a swimming pool in her back yard last Friday.
Tuesday afternoon the Norton Shores Police Department told FOX 17 News that the dead woman was Monika Katrin Voss, 73.
The Norton Shores Fire Department was called to the 3800 block of Hess Street at 4:33 p.m. Friday. Voss’ husband called 9-1-1 after discovering her in the pool. Emergency crews found the woman’s body in the pool on top of its cover.
Voss’ official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Her visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Lee Chapel at 6291 S. Harvey Street. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial following in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
