FERRYSBURG, Mich. — Two women are recovering after a driver backed into them Wednesday afternoon.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. on Harbor Point Drive near Lake Point Drive in Ferrysburg.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said a 72-year-old woman and an 88-year-old woman were walking in the roadway using walkers when the driver backed into them. Both women were injured and taken to the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
The 73-year-old driver also from Ferrysburg was not hurt. The driver was backing out of a private drive when the incident happened.
