Victim in Grand Rapids parking lot shooting identified

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The man who was shot and killed Sunday morning near the Chicken Coop restaurant has been identified by police as Terence Hollis.

Hollis, 32, was shot at about 2:46 a.m. in the restaurant’s parking lot, located at 1156 S. Division.  He was rushed to the hospital and later died.

According to a press release, there was a fight inside the restaurant prior to the shooting and it continued in the parking lot.   Police said it’s unclear if Hollis was involved in the altercation.
