ALBION, Mich. — Two Ohio men are facing charges in connection with an armed robbery and assault that put Albion College on lockdown Thursday evening.
According to Albion Police, Brandon Lavon Holloway, 28, and 25-year-old Aric Lamont Holloway were charged Friday with armed robbery and assault with intent to murder.
The robbery happened at around 9 p.m. in the 300 block of E. Broadwell St, according to a release. Police say the two men robbed another man; one suspect was armed with a pistol and the other had a shotgun.
The suspects then allegedly took off in their vehicle and the victim chased them in his. They opened fire on the victim while driving in the 900 block of N. Ionia Street, police said.
A police dog later tracked the suspects to Erie Street after they had abandoned their vehicle near Albion College’s Burns Street Apartments, officials said.
Investigators later recovered a shotgun that had been stolen from Spencerville, Ohio, according to a release.
