WYOMING, Mich. — A woman has been hospitalized after police say she attempted to make a left turn and was struck by an approaching semi truck.
The accident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday on Chicago Drive and Collingwood Avenue in Wyoming. Police say the woman was driving her four-door Saturn on Chicago Drive and tried to turn left onto Collingwood. That’s when the approaching semi struck her vehicle on the passenger side.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with what are described as moderate injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
