VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — A suspected drunk driver is in custody, after police say he hit a building, drove over a concrete retaining wall, and then resisted arrested.

It happened on Thursday shortly after 1:00 a.m. in an alley behind W. Monroe Street in the city of Bangor.  When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the suspect had struck a building with a Chevy Trailblazer, which had then become stuck on top of the concrete wall.

Police determined the 35-year-old suspect had been drinking, and also had a warrant out for his arrest.  When they attempted to take him into custody, he resisted arrest, but the deputies quickly got him under control.

The suspect now faces a variety of charges.
