Grand Rapids man pleads guilty to fatal shooting of MSU student

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Marqua McCoy pleaded guilty Friday in connection with the killing of a Michigan State University student.

According to Ingham County Circuit Court officials, McCoy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the shooting of Dominque Nolff.

Nolff, 20, of Middleville, was found dead at Cedar Village Apartments near MSU’s campus Jan. 31, 2014.  His roommate was also injured during the incident.

McCoy was arrested in Grand Rapids Feb. 18, 2014 after a brief standoff.    He will be sentenced at a later date.
