MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- One man was killed in a fire that broke out shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday in Muskegon Heights.
The fire was in an apartment style house at 2336 5th Street just north of Muskegon Heights High School.
It has been confirmed that one man died in the fire, but all other occupants of the building got out safely.
Several neighboring fire departments assisted Muskegon Heights fire crews in fighting the fire and searching the building.
