*Muskegon Heights Public Schools are once again closed for Thursday March 5 due to the water main break.
MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich.–Just one day after a major water main break closed roads and buckled pavement in Muskegon Heights, the city is once again dealing with the issue.
This time, all Muskegon Heights Public Schools buildings closed at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, due to another water main break.
City officials told FOX 17 Tuesday night that a combination of the cold temperatures and aging infrastructure were to blame for issues with broken mains and frozen pipes leading to homes in the city.
The water main break on Tuesday was located on Sherman Boulevard near Peck. Nearly a half million gallons of water spilled out onto the streets in the area.
FOX 17 News has a crew back in Muskegon Heights Wednesday, and will bring you more information and updates on-air and online.
