GARY, Ind. — Authorities are investigating after the bodies of two babies were found in a funeral home on Wednesday.
According to WGN, the discovery was made inside the Smith, Bizzel and Warner Funeral Home in the 4200 block of Grant Street in Gary.
At least one of the babies appeared to be mummified and investigators believe it had been there for at least 10 years.
One of the babies had medical identification dating back to March 2012.
They were found in the celling of the funeral home, according to reports.
The deaths don’t appear to be suspicious, but the investigation remains open.
