CLARE, Mich. — A Clare County couple is facing numerous charges after police say they sexually assaulted a child.
According to the Michigan State Police, 41-year-old Jason Shannon was arraigned Wednesday on a 27-count warrant that includes charges of criminal sexual conduct, child sexually abusive activities and providing sexually explicit material to a minor.
Crystal Little, 32, is facing three charges for criminal sexual conduct, providing sexually explicit material to a minor and aiding and abetting.
Shannon, a registered sex offender, is accused of exchanging child pornography with a man in Kansas. The Homeland Security investigation in that state led police to Shannon, according to a release.
While police were investigating him for those crimes, they say they discovered he and Little were sexually assaulting a child. They confessed to that, according to a release.
Shannon and Little were arrested Tuesday. He is being held on a $1,000,000 bond, she is being held on a $100,000 bond.
